We start with genuine routines, pressures and decisions. A feature should earn its place by making a practical task clearer, calmer or easier to complete.
We aim to describe features, limitations and product status plainly. We avoid making claims that a product cannot reasonably support.
Our products should help people make informed choices. Where software assists with a decision or workflow, the person using it should remain able to understand and direct the outcome.
We treat privacy, security and reliable product behaviour as core design responsibilities. Product-specific information is provided through the relevant product channels as it becomes available.
We welcome practical feedback, report concerns responsibly and use what we learn to improve our products over time.
We consider the effect of our products on people, teams and the wider world—not only whether a feature can be built, but whether it should be.
